I am a passionate gardener. Most of my time is spent researching plants, going to nurseries, and playing in the garden. As I have been developing this passion, I realize that there are many ways to enjoy a garden and every way is the right way. I believe that gardening shouldn’t be overwhelming, there are a lot of people who enjoy making spreadsheets for planting dates and religiously starting seeds for succession planting, and there are also a lot of people who want to enjoy homegrown food without worrying about frost dates, fertilizers, and pests. I’m here to help you grow food for whatever phase of life you’re in and however much time you have to dedicate to your garden.
Included in all consulting options:
* text Miki for plant questions
* email list for plant tips (I.E. Which fertilizer I buy and when I feed plants)
Level 1: “I want a garden!”
(100% Virtual)
The most hands-off package. I know the 100% virtual option will speak to a lot of friends that don’t want to commit a huge amount of time to your garden but want to have some delicious fresh food this season!
You: Measure your current garden and ask yourself these questions:
– What vegetables do you (and family/live-in mates) enjoy eating often?
– What herbs do you often cook with?
– Do you want to plant in the summer and winter or in summer only?
Me: I will help you refine the plants for your garden and create a garden map for you to print out and use throughout the season. The map will also include planting dates, companion planting (making sure the plants that are next to each other like each other and don’t cause drama), as well as a feeding and watering schedule that will take into account our drought conditions.
Price $300
(up to 300 square feet, additional fee discussed for larger spaces)
Level 2: “I want to learn more about gardening!”
(Virtual + Facetime)
All the services included in Level 1 are in the Level 2 package. This option is for the gardener who is interested in spending a little more time in the garden expanding their knowledge this season. If you’ve had a garden before and want to get your hands a bit deeper in the soil, this is a great option. We will have a facetime or Zoom session before I build your garden map. I’ll answer any questions about getting started or concerns that you’ve had in the past. We will also discuss watering options, covering for frost, bugs, and weeds!
Price $500
(up to 300 square feet, additional fee discussed for larger spaces)
Level 3: “I want a garden buddy!”
(In-person)
All services in levels 1 & 2 are included in the level 3 package. This package is geared toward the budding plant enthusiast. Instead of a facetime garden tour prior to the garden map, I will visit your garden in person to chat about the best planting techniques for your specific situation. In addition, you and I will take a field trip to a nursery (close to your home)! YAY!! We will inspect plants together, and choose the very best ones for your garden. After you plant your garden, this option also includes a mid-season check-in where I will come to your garden in July/August and help troubleshoot, answer any questions, and talk about succession planting (if you’re interested in a winter garden.)
Price: $1,200
(up to 300 square feet, additional fee discussed for larger spaces)
Level 4: “Can you please plant my garden?”
(In Person)
This option is for the human that is extremely busy AND understands the benefits of growing their own food. Instead of planting your own garden, you can hire me to do it for you. I will come to your home, measure the space, create a garden map with a watering and feeding schedule, go to the nursery to pick out your plants (plants not included in the price), amend the soil with nutrients, and plant your garden. This option also includes a mid-season check-in around July/August to ensure the plants are doing well. All you have to do is water, weed, and keep an eye out for pests.
Price: $3,500
(up to 300 square feet, additional fee discussed for larger spaces)
